The French Coalition for cultural diversity supports the European filmmakers’ petition

With a single voice, European filmmakers are requesting that audiovisual and cinema services be excluded from the forthcoming trade negotiations between Europe and the United States.

The French Coalition fully supports this initiative and invites anyone who is attached to cultural diversity to sign this petition now opened to all.

The European coalitions urge M. Barroso to defend the European cultural and audiovisual sector

The thirteen European coalitions wrote to M. Barroso to ask for the European Commission to respect its commitment to defend and promote the diversity of cultural expressions made when signing the 2005 UNESCO Convention.

They urged him to obtain the exclusion of the cultural and audiovisual sector from the trade negotiations with the United States.
